Dania Martinez was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. She came to the United States when she was two months old. She remembers the day she fully spoke and understood English when she was in pre-kindergarten. It was definitely a proud moment for her at a very young age. In high school she was a member of the school choir and the volleyball team. She graduated from Park West High School. Dania Martinez is a veteran of the United States Army. She served the military from 2001 until 2005. Dania pledged the Beta Line of the Alpha Epsilon Chapter in the Spring of 2007. She received her bachelor's degree in International Business and Cultural Anthropology from SUNY Plattsburgh. Dania received her master's degree in Latin American and Latino Studies from Fordham University. She currently works for the Social Security Administration. Dania loves to travel, taste and cook different foods, and study foreign languages. Her hobbies include playing instruments and practicing capoeira, a Brazilian martial art form.
